The essence of a woman is not created overnight. She can not become a success without a closet full of failures. These failures do not hinder her dreams. These failures inspire her. She will rise above the wasteland of her past; take these battle scars with her, because they are a part of her now. These scabbed over scars have become her map; her guidance to an unknown but optimistic future. She takes her scars and molds them into beauty marks.
These beauty marks are what my art explores. I take what the world sees as imperfections and I celebrate them. Scars tell the story of where we’ve been and where we’re going. A scar transcends to a beauty mark once the past is forgiven and the future is clear.
