ARTIST BIO // Julianna Richey
Julianna Richey is a Birmingham native and local artist. She works primarily in drawing and painting, with experience in ceramic, cast iron, and papier mache sculpture; having pursued art since childhood. In 2014, she studied at the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art for a year. Richey's body of work is drawn from the experiential, nature, dreams, the inner landscape and the intuitively perceived; as well as a love for stories and myths, often offering a piece as a symbolic parable for a life experience. In the last year, she taught at Space One Eleven for the spring, and has been involved in teaching and hosting workshops and public art projects, as well as doing an installation.
